and DAYCARE

How Are We Different?

At Peak Canine Coaching, we prioritise Training, creating neutrality, confidence and fostering a safe environment for our dogs.

We are very familiar with your usual daycare or group walking services - but we are very different. While many dog daycare services focus solely on play and exercise, we take a more comprehensive, intentional approach that blends training, structure, and enrichment with every step.

Here's how we differ and how we aim to redefine what dog daycare can be:

Training Focus Over Free Play

Most group walking services focus on basic exercise and free play, which, while beneficial, often don't provide the structure that dogs need to thrive. At Peak Canine Coaching, we integrate training into every interaction. Our walks are not just about letting dogs run wild—they’re training sessions in motion, helping dogs build confidence, reinforce good behaviour, and work on leash manners, social skills, and overall obedience.

Neutrality and Confidence Building

Unlike other daycare services that may let dogs engage in unhealthy and constant play, we focus on creating neutrality—a state where dogs are calm, balanced, and confident. When your dog is walking with our Peak Pack, our goal is to nurture self-control and emotional resilience, helping dogs stay calm in stimulating environments, avoid overexcitement, and learn how to behave appropriately around other dogs and people.

Intentional Group Dynamics

In typical group walking or daycare setups, dogs are often thrown together based on size or temperament without much consideration for their individual needs. At Peak Canine Coaching, we carefully curate and select our small groups to ensure that each dog’s personality and energy level are compatible. We strive to match dogs who complement each other, allowing for safe, structured interactions and minimising stress or conflict. Our team is qualified and trained to analyse body language and social cues, ensuring a balanced and positive experience for every dog.

Structured Walks with Purpose

Our walks are structured and purposeful, unlike regular free-range group walks. We don't just walk for the sake of exercise—we use every outing as an opportunity to reinforce key training principles. From practicing loose leash walking to working on recall or impulse control, each walk is designed to be both mentally and physically stimulating.

Changing the Narrative of Dog Daycare

Dog daycare has traditionally been viewed as a space for unstructured play, where dogs are simply watched or allowed to interact without much guidance. At Peak Canine Coaching, we aim to change the narrative. We believe daycare should be a place where dogs learn and grow in a controlled, positive environment—where the focus is on training, socialisation, and mental enrichment, not just physical exercise. We see daycare as an extension of the training process, where dogs get to practice what they've learned in a supervised, real-world environment.
